Buildings are never meant to be ends in and of themselves. They are always meant to be a tool in the hands of the church for mission! The Kings Centre is a fantastic building ready and primed for a great harvest in the borough of Great Yarmouth.
“Wherever you are, be all there! Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God.” (Jim Elliot)
“It is not great men who change the world, but weak men in the hands of a great God.” Brother Yun (The Heavenly Man)
Great Yarmouth needs people who will live lives ‘to the hilt’, pouring themselves out to make much of Jesus, see the church arise and reap great damage on the kingdom of darkness. Does that sound like the type of life you want to live? If so come and join the adventure!
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
I want to walk in step with God. Don’t you? Here in this prayer, we see the Apostle Paul praying that the church in Corinth would know the ‘fellowship of the Holy Spirit’. Deep, personal interaction with the Spirit of God. Not fleeting moments, but a life lived in the presence and power of the Spirit. That type of community gets caught up in a mission and a life way beyond themselves! That to me seems a life worth living.
This weekend we’re back in Great Yarmouth with the church family from Kingsgate. Here’s a rough plan for the weekend.
Most of the weekend is packed full of lots of meeting up with people. Some who are existing members of the church and others who are exploring what it would mean for them to come and join the adventure!
Oh and we’re also planning a trip to the cinema to watch Beauty and the Beast (when you have three girls this is compulsory).
On Sunday I’m going to be speaking from Isaiah 2 on the Glorious Church. Come and join us at 10am.
